Due to growth and functional evolution, we now have a new opportunity within our HR and L&D team for a People Development (Learning and Development) Partner to support our southern cluster bakeries. 

 

Finsbury Food Group is a leading speciality bakery manufacturer. Baking brilliance makes every day special. Our southern cluster bakeries consist of our Memory Lane bakery in Cardiff, Ultrapharm in Pontypool and Nicholas & Harris in Salisbury.

 

The People Development Partner will ensure that the business has the required skills to meet changing business needs, drive improved business performance and deliver the business strategy. They will partner with senior key stakeholders to identify individual, team and the functional development needs required to be able to execute strategy and maximise performance. They’ll be responsible for assessing, creating, and delivering the full L&D cycle across the bakery cluster.

 

The successful candidate will have worked in a similar Learning and Development leadership role, where they’ve business partnered with business leaders to identify, assess, create and deliver various learning development programmes. They’ll be experienced in influencing and challenging effectively across various functions to deliver strategic development requirements. They will also have experience in managing learning and development systems, project management leadership experience and the ability to build effective cross functional relationships, while being commercially focused on business needs. The successful candidate will have experience of managing their own time and work priorities effectively in a hybrid working environment. The position requires travel to all 3 sites in our southern cluster, with most of the time spent at our Memory Lane site in Cardiff as this is the largest site employing c. 850 employees.

 

They’ll have a Learning and Development qualification, ideally along with or working towards a Coaching qualification. However, this is not essential, as a Coaching qualification will form part of the successful candidate’s personal development plan in developing their career at Finsbury Food Group.

 

This is a great position for someone who is truly passionate about people development, offering the opportunity to deliver the strategy and create development programmes across multiply sites partnering directly with the leadership teams.

This is what you’ll actually do!

As the People Development Partner, you’ll business partner with the senior leadership teams to identify and develop individuals and teams. You’ll create and execute learning strategies and programs across the bakery cluster, carrying out capability assessments and analyzing and planning development needs.

 

You’ll conduct varied developing people methods (e.g. coaching, mentoring, facilitation & Leadership delivery) and design a range of learning interventions, including technical, behavioural and leadership programmes. Experience of managing and reviewing learning development system is required, as you’ll utilise Finsbury Food Groups LMS reporting tools to produce management information and offer insight to the business.

 

Design and delivery experience is an essential requirement for success in this role as you’ll create and deliver e-learning courses, workshops, blended learning solutions and other development options. Along with delivering and planning strategic key Continuous Improvement development plans. Using various tools including digital to create flexible and innovative learning programmes

 

As the People Development Partner you’ll implement and embed Finsbury Food Groups coaching culture and encourage continuous professional development (CPD). Evaluate development value and monitor how effectively learning has been transferred to colleagues and its impact on performance.

 

You’ll take an active role in the broader People team, keeping up to date on external L&D trends and best practice. You’ll build your own external network, regularly reviewing external markets, organisations, and trends to identify, source, and deliver strong Learning and Development.

 

Ideally this is you!

·       Experience in a similar Learning and Development leadership position within a fast-paced organisation

·       Degree or equivalent (member of CIPD)

·       Personality profiling accreditation or/+ Practitioner (e.g. MBTI/Insights/ SHL)

·       Ideally a Coaching Qualification or working towards

·       Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods

·       Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices

·       Experience in project management and budgeting

·       Excellent communication and negotiation skills

·       Ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders, colleagues, and leadership teams

·       Experience of Continuous Improvement programmes

·       Experience of leading a team (directly or indirectly)

·       Can demonstrate a clear understanding of the impact learning interventions on business performance
